Terms & Conditions – Ahlam Couture

1. Company Information

Ahlam Couture is an online webshop based in The Netherlands.

Ahlam Couture is our brand name for the sales of abayas and our formal company name is Parkwijck Advies. Parkwijck Advies also conducts other business activities which are excluded from these specific Ahlam Couture Terms and Conditions.

By visiting our Ahlam Couture website and/or by placing an order through our Ahlam Couture webshop, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Applicability

These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements concluded via the Ahlam Couture webshop. Any deviations are only valid if explicitly agreed upon in writing.

3. Products & Craftsmanship

Ahlam Couture offers handmade abayas crafted from delicate fabrics and finished with hand-applied embroidery, stones, rhinestones, beads, and/or other decorative elements.

Due to the artisanal nature of our products:

  • Minor variations in colour, embroidery placement, finishing, or pattern may occur.
  • These variations are considered normal characteristics and do not constitute a defect.

Our abayas are not intended for heavy or daily use.
The fabrics and embellishments are sensitive to:

  • Friction (for example from shoulder bags or accessories).
  • Pulling, hooking, or abrasion.
  • Contact with perfume, deodorant, make-up, sweat, or improper storage

Damage caused by such factors is not considered a production defect.

4. Product Information & Images

We strive to present our products as accurately as possible through descriptions, sizing, material details, and images.

  • Product images are created by photography and are a true representation of the items offered.
  • Colours shown may differ slightly due to screen settings, lighting or photography settings.
  • No rights can be derived from minor deviations in colour or appearance.

Each product listing clearly states:

  • Price including VAT (BTW)
  • Available sizes and colours
  • Materials used
  • Delivery costs
  • Washing instruction
  • Size chart
  • Payment and delivery methods

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to:

  • Texts
  • Images
  • Product designs
  • Logos
  • Graphics

is the exclusive property of Ahlam Couture and formally Parkwijck Advies.

It is strictly prohibited to copy, reproduce, distribute, store, or reuse any content without prior written permission.

6. Prices & Errors

All prices on the website:

  • Are stated in euros (€)
  • Include VAT (BTW)

We aim to display correct and up-to-date pricing at all times. However:

  • Obvious programming, calculation, or typographical errors do not create a binding agreement.
  • Ahlam Couture reserves the right to cancel orders affected by such errors.

In such cases, any payment made will be fully refunded. We are not obliged to deliver products at an incorrect price.

7. Order & Payment

An agreement is concluded once the customer has completed the checkout process and received an order confirmation.

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.
Ahlam Couture reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in exceptional cases, such as suspected fraud or incorrect information.

8. Shipping & Delivery

  • Orders are shipped as soon as possible and no later than 5 working days after purchase, unless stated or otherwise.
  • Delivery is made via parcel delivery to the address provided by the customer.

Delivery times depend on the carrier. Ahlam Couture is not liable for delays caused by postal or courier services.

Customers are responsible for providing correct and complete delivery information. Additional costs resulting from incorrect information may be charged to the customer.

9. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

In accordance with Dutch and EU consumer law, customers have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, unless the product is excluded (for example discounted or sale items, if applicable).

Conditions

During the reflection period, the customer must:

  • Handle the product and packaging with care
  • Only unpack the item to the extent necessary to assess whether you want to keep it.

Returned items must:

  • Be unused and unworn.
  • Be clean and undamaged.
  • Have all original labels and tags attached as received.
  • Be suitable for resale.

Items that show signs of wear, washing, damage, stains, alterations, or excessive handling will not be accepted.

Return Procedure

  • The customer must notify Ahlam Couture of the withdrawal within 14 days of receipt.
  • Notification must be made via the contact form on our website (https://ahlamcouture.com).
  • After notification, the customer will receive the return address.
  • The product must be returned within this period of 14 days (of receipt of the package). 
  • Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
  • Proof of timely return (e.g. shipping receipt) must be retained.

Unsolicited returns will not be accepted.

Refunds

  • Refunds are processed within 7 days after receipt of the returned product.
  • Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
  • Original shipping costs are not refunded.
  • Returns that do not meet the applicable return conditions (as mentioned earlier in these Terms and Conditions) will not be accepted and are not eligible for a refund. In case customer wants the abaya send back to her/him, the shipping cost will be borne by the customer.

10. Conformity & Legal Guarantee

Ahlam Couture guarantees that products comply with the agreement and meet reasonable consumer expectations at the time of delivery.

The legal guarantee applies only to defects that were demonstrably present upon delivery.

The following are not covered by the legal guarantee:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by use, washing, friction, pulling, hooking, perspiration, perfume, make-up, or improper care
  • Failure to follow provided care instructions

Minor variations due to handmade production are not considered defects.

11. Liability

Ahlam Couture is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Damage caused by improper use or failure to follow care instructions

Liability is limited to the purchase price of the product concerned, unless mandatory law dictates otherwise.

12. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate personal and delivery information
  • Inspecting the product immediately upon receipt
  • Using and caring for the product according to instructions

13. Applicable Law & Disputes

All agreements and these Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
